Being Exposed to the Elements

For Highly Skilled Adventurers

Looking for the experienced rider's trail? This is it.

Approximately 90 miles up the Glenn Highway north of Anchorage, Boulder delivers a hill climb and bog crossings right from the start. You'll climb approximately 1000 feet to your first lookout. From there, you'll ride from ridgeline to ridgeline, dropping in and climbing back out of small valleys. The trail continues in for 16 miles to a series of obstacles consisting of progressively bigger rock crawls dropping into a rocky bog. If you make it past that, you'll enjoy vast views with towering mountains all around you as we make our way up Boulder Creek to camp.

For the extreme adventurer, this is a great trail to kick off a multi-night trip that gets deep into the backcountry and connects with the Nelchina trail system.

Please ask us for pricing on multiple night adventures.

Non-shuttle “one day” tours are also available.

Due to the difficulty of this trail, significant prior ATV/off-roading experience is required.

As with all of our trails… be prepared! Dress warm, wear hiking shoes (no open toes) and bring rain gear if you have it. Helmets, tents and sleeping bags will be provided. Please make sure to let us know if you have any dietary needs when you make your reservation.

Shuttle service from Anchorage or Palmer is included. Please ask about service from other locations.
