Let’s go to the Knik Glacier
Over 28 Miles long and 5miles across, the Knik Glacier is one of Southcentral Alaska’s greatest rivers of ice. Located at the northern edge of the Chugach Mountains, this glacier is an awesome sight to see.
There are 23 miles of trail between the starting location and the Knik Glacier itself. Along the way your guide will help you navigate water crossings and mud holes. They will point out wildlife along the way and ( if it’s safe ) stop for the chance to take photos.
This adventure is sure to be the best part of your Alaska vacation. Bring your camera and be prepared to get dirty!
Don’t Forget…
The key to comfort in Alaska is to wear layers so add a hoodie or warm jacket to the backpack and bring a rain jacket just in case the weather turns.
Tour Day!!
Check-in will be at the trailhead (Knik River Public Use Parking Lot) with your guide. Feel free to bring water, snacks, etc. in a backpack or dry bag that can be put in your machine.
